Trip Planning
Create custom itineraries, organize your places, and export trip plans.
Creating a Trip
You can save places to trip itineraries from anywhere in the app. Trips help you organize recommendations for upcoming travel.
Find a place you want to save
Browse the map, city pages, or search for a specific place. Open the place detail page.
Click "Add to Trip"
On the place detail page, click the “Add to Trip” button.
Choose or create a trip
If you have existing trips, a dropdown lets you select one. Otherwise, you are prompted to create a new trip with a name and optional date range.
Confirmation
A toast message confirms the place was added. You can continue browsing and add more places from any page.
You can create up to 20 trips, each with up to 50 places. Trips can span multiple cities.
Managing Your Trips
Navigate to /trips (via the header menu) to see all your trips as cards showing the trip name, date range, place count, and city count.
Trip detail page
Click a trip to open its detail page. Here you will see:
- A map with all trip places pinned
- An ordered list of places that you can reorder by dragging
- Per-place notes (add personal reminders like “Book in advance”)
- Place details including address, category, and opening hours
Editing
You can rename your trip, update the date range, remove places, reorder places, and add personal notes to each place. Changes save automatically.
Trips with zero places (all removed) are hidden from your trip list but not deleted — add a place to bring the trip back.
Exporting Itineraries
On the trip detail page, you can export your itinerary in two ways.
PDF download
Click “Download PDF” to generate a styled itinerary document. Places in multiple cities are grouped by city. Each entry includes the place name, address, category, and any notes you have added.
Email export
Click “Email to me” to receive the PDF and a summary at your email address. If you have not yet added an email to your profile, you will be prompted to enter one.
You can also open your trip in Google Maps — the export generates a link with all places as waypoints for turn-by-turn navigation.
